1. Introduction

IdeaFlare ("the App") is an AI-powered ideation platform that helps users capture, analyze, refine, and develop ideas. It is developed and published by ZKidz Dev ("we," "us," or "our").

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have. By using IdeaFlare, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account information: Email address and authentication credentials when you create an account (via email, Google, or Apple Sign-In).
  • Idea content: Text and voice recordings you submit for AI analysis. Voice recordings are transcribed on-device or via system speech recognition APIs.
  • AI-generated outputs: Summaries, features, execution plans, tasks, and risk assessments generated from your ideas.
  • Usage data: Information about how you use the App, including ideation counts, feature usage, and subscription status.
  • Integration tokens: OAuth tokens for connected services (Linear, GitHub) stored securely on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve the IdeaFlare service
  • Process your ideas through AI models to generate structured outputs
  • Manage your account and subscription
  • Sync tasks with connected integrations (when you authorize)
  • Enforce usage limits based on your subscription tier (free, pro, premium)
  • Send important service-related communications

4. Third-Party Services

IdeaFlare uses the following third-party services:

  • Supabase: Authentication, database storage, and serverless functions. Your data is stored in Supabase-managed PostgreSQL databases with Row Level Security (RLS) ensuring you can only access your own data.
  • Google Gemini AI:Your idea text is sent to Google's Gemini API for AI analysis. Google processes this data according to their API terms. We do not send voice recordings to Google — only transcribed text.
  • Stripe: Payment processing for Pro and Premium subscriptions. We do not store your credit card details — Stripe handles all payment data securely.
  • Linear and GitHub: When you connect these integrations, we use OAuth to access your projects and sync tasks. You can disconnect at any time.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase-managed PostgreSQL databases with Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring data isolation between users. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.

Authentication tokens are stored securely using platform-specific secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android).

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the App. Account deletion permanently removes all your data including:

  • Your profile and account information
  • All ideas, outputs, and tasks
  • Usage history and subscription records
  • Integration connections and sync records

Deletion is irreversible. Data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days after deletion, after which it is permanently removed.

7. Children's Privacy

IdeaFlare is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete that information.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and all associated data (available in Settings)
  • Export your ideas (available on Premium plans)
  • Disconnect third-party integrations at any time

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of IdeaFlare after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
